About the Client
Toogee Martial Arts operates across Australia and Papua New Guinea offering classes in Taekwondo, Kickboxing, MMA, Brazilian Ju Jitsu and much more for all ages and walks of life.
About the Project
The goal of this rebuild was to freshen up the overall website. The previous site had been built using a page builder that was not optimised for Core Web Vitals which made it difficult to have a website that was performant.
We rebuilt the website from the ground up, stripping away all of the unnecessary add-ons, etc that really weren’t needed, and focused on building a site that would bring attention to the client’s main goal for the website – New Student sign-ups.
The new site is completely dynamic, based on custom field to make it simpler for the client to update the content as necessary. While it is only early days and the client is still updating content when they can, we feel we have achieved what we set out to do
What we did
Ground up redesign
The previous site had been built many years ago with outdated technologies. We rebuilt the site from the ground up using modern technologies and best practices.
Dynamic Content Structure
The site uses a series of custom post types and fields to build out the content, empowering the client to add and modify the content and design of the site as needed.
Custom Events Calendar
Most of the events plugins available went over the top with features (and pricing to match!), so we built a custom event calendar that provided a simpler interface.
Customised Forms & Integrations
Customised forms have been built in to the site such as Grading Forms, Event Registrations, integration into an external student management system.
