Frequently Asked Questions
Web Design
No, we don’t include website hosting in our standard projects. We will happily recommend a hosting provider for you or you could sign up for one of our Website Care Plans which also include heaps of other features to keep your website in tip top shape.
This depends on the information/content that you have ready to go. Generally speaking, you can expect your site to be ready to go live anywhere from about 2 weeks depending on the size of the site. Some sites take longer than others depending on the requirements of the site.
It really depends on what type of website you want. We’ll be able to discuss this on our discovery call before we start working together. Depending on which package we agree on we could need…
- Images of you and your team
- Images of your workplace
- Content for the website e.g. text, PDFs etc
- Staff Profiles
- Any Videos you would like adding to the website
- Login details to your existing website
Before we begin the project, we’ll usually have a chat on the phone or via Zoom to discuss the project.
Once we get started, most of the communication will take place over email. This makes the process a lot easier as we’ll have all of the information saved and can come back to it later.
Of course, we are always available by phone if you have any urgent questions.

SEO
To be completely honest: no one can. If an agency guarantees a #1 ranking, that’s a red flag. Google uses a complex, ever-changing algorithm that no one outside of their headquarters fully controls. What we can guarantee is that we use proven, ethical techniques to improve your visibility, build your site’s authority, and give you the best possible shot at reaching that top spot for the terms that actually matter to your business.
SEO is a marathon, not a sprint. While you might see some “quick wins” in the first few weeks (like fixing technical errors or updating page titles), significant growth usually takes between 3 to 6 months. It takes time for search engines to “crawl” your new content, recognise your site as an authority, and start moving you up the ladder. The good news? Unlike paid ads, the progress we make with SEO tends to stick around long after the initial work is done.
There are hundreds of reasons why this might happen. They might have a much older domain, more “votes of confidence” (backlinks) from other websites, or simply more relevant content for a specific search. Our process involves looking closely at what they are doing well and finding the gaps where your business can perform better—whether that’s through faster page speeds, better local Gladstone targeting, or more helpful content for your customers.
Think of SEO like maintaining a garden or going to the gym. If you stop, you won’t lose your results overnight, but over time, weeds will grow (or your competitors will keep working and eventually pass you). Search trends change, new competitors arrive, and Google updates its rules. Staying on top requires consistent, small adjustments to ensure your site remains the best answer for your customers’ questions.
Local SEO is about “winning your backyard.” It’s making sure that when someone in Gladstone searches for your services, you show up in the Map Pack and local results. National SEO is a broader game, focusing on ranking for general terms across the whole country. We tailor our approach based on your goals – whether you want more foot traffic to your physical shop or more inquiries from across Australia.
You don’t need to write for the sake of writing, but Google loves “fresh” and “helpful” information. Adding regular updates, project galleries, or helpful guides shows search engines that your site is active and relevant. It also gives you more opportunities to show up for different things people might be searching for. We can help you create a content plan that feels natural and manageable, rather than a chore.
eCommerce
We build our stores with you in mind. You won’t need to call us every time you have a sale or a new arrival. We use intuitive dashboards and provide you with a simple walkthrough so you can swap out photos, update prices, and track your stock with total confidence.
Absolutely. We set up your site to do the heavy lifting for you. Whether you want to offer flat-rate shipping, free delivery over a certain amount, or live rates from Australia Post, we configure it all. GST is also handled at the checkout, so your accounting stays clean and your customers aren’t surprised by hidden costs.
Security is our priority. We only integrate with world-class, encrypted payment providers like Stripe, PayPal, and Square. This means your customers’ credit card data never actually touches your website server—it’s handled by the pros, keeping you compliant and your customers’ details safe.
We don’t just hand over the keys and disappear. We offer ongoing support to ensure your site stays fast, secure, and up to date. Whether you have a quick question about a promotion or want to add a new feature down the track, we’re just a phone call or email away right here in Gladstone.
It has to. More than half of all online shopping happens on mobile devices now. We design every store with a ‘mobile-first’ approach, ensuring the buttons are easy to tap, the text is easy to read, and the checkout process is frictionless on any screen size.

Website optimisation simply means improving the performance of your website. It can refer to the speed of your site, the user experience, or search engine optimisation (SEO).
Having fresh content on your website is beneficial to both your users and also Google. New content that answers all the questions a user may have usually helps your website’s ranking and also improves conversions.
A slow website is usually due to images being too large and not optimised for the web. Another reason your website could be slow is bad coding or bulky pre-made themes.
SEO is important for a website as it ensures search engine users get the most trusted and optimum user experience. Content achieving page one rankings are highly relevant and credible. Websites that rank higher usually receive more meaningful traffic.
